HK express tries to make money off you in every way possible. They don't allow you to consume your own food or drink on the plane. When I bought my tickets included in flight ticket was a "small personal item" and underneath the descrtiption it said that the weight could not exceed 7Kg and included dimensions. When I checked in it said that the personal item I had constituted a carry-on item and I had to pay na extra HKD300 (~USD37) per piece for this. The weight of the carry on was less than 7Kg. To me a carry on is a carry on item; I can understand if the weight exceeded the allowed amount but because one has a hard case and the other has a soft case just doesn't make sense. Terrible airline.

SIXT Car Rental Scam | Dishonest & Despicable
I rented a car through Sixt in London. I have attached screenshots of the check out process and the car selection process. When checking out you can see that the total cost should be GBP261.10 for 4 days of car rental. After I returned the car before the time I said I would with a full tank, I was sent the final invoice which came to GBP 439.72. Apparently when you turn up to collect the car they make you sign a document that includes lots of other items such as mobility service, minimum excess LDW and Loss Damage Waiver. I was never told about these when I spoke with the agent. I never agreed to these and the agent never gave me any price or information about these. It is clearly Sharp Practice bordering on scam. I called up on 22 eptember to their hotline and spoke with Sara who agreed immediately to refund 50% of these charges to which I declined and said that I want full refund for these. She said that they can offer full refund but will need to put me through a level 2 customer service representative and I have been waiting for 32 minutes on the line now to speak to this person.

DISCORD - Always downloading updates and it takes over your screen
It's really annoying that each time I open Discord it checks for updates and always has something to do.. it takes over my entire screen and stops me from working on other things... This update took like 5 minutes to download. It's so annoying; why so many updates? I don't see any improvement or new features and why does it have to take over my screen and take me away from the other apps? Why not just do it in the backgroud? Also I can't switch auto updates.

We had dinner at there hotel and when we booked a grab car too pick us up and take us home the security blocked them from entering. They want to make us pay more for the taxi service they run and stop hard working drivers in a free market from making money.

Namecheap SSL hosting scam
Namecheap gets you hooked on the hosting with free SSL only for the first year; once your website is with them they ask you to pay for SSL renewal whereas most other hosting companies just offer free renewal with Letsencrypt. To me this is a scam... I will move all of my hosting accounts away from Namecheap now and use another hosting company. My advice to anyone is avoid Namecheap like the plague.

VRBO allowed an instant booking for dates that were already reeserved
The dates 1-6 July 2025 were already taken since February 2025 and the calendars synced, yet a guest managed to book from 3-5 July 2025; immediately on the VRBO app it showed this booking as conflicted. I immediately cancelled the booking and refunded the guests but the following day had to waste an hour explaining the situation to the useless customer support at VRBO about what happened.
